EMDR is an evidence-based psychotherapy used to help people process distressing or traumatic memories. It is endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a highly effective treatment for PTSD and complex trauma, with increasing evidence in it’s effectiveness to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction and birth trauma. EMDR differs from traditional talking therapies, not requiring clients to talk in detail about their trauma.
